Just recently I was enlisted to shoot pictures of some little kids. This was a first for me, and I quickly learned that adults are difficult to work with, but children are harder! That's not totally fair to say though...while kids are difficult to pose and keep entertained, they do offer much more in terms of candid shots and varied facial expressions. It took me a little while to figure out how to give infants that "baby look" in Photoshop, but I finally found something I like, and I also played around with some B&W and selective coloring just for fun. Well well well, you live in a place for 17 years and you start to think that you know it...until you find out that you don't : ( But that's good! I never knew there was a place called "Graffiti Alley" regardless of whether the name is official or unofficial. Not only that, I never knew about a little road called "Cliff Drive," which btw is its official name. The happy ending of the story is... |

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a very talented graffiti artist as he went crazy on a backdrop for the Ecclesia Youth's Church Boyz dance crew. I know you will want to look forward to the release of the photos in the gallery section very soon. For those out there who want to learn, I'll also write a little bit about how I used my Speedlights to create art from his art. |

Alrighty, I've published the gallery of Church Boyz Mural shots. The ones toward the end are pretty dramatic, I like them a lot. For many of these shots I went hand-held with my Speedlight for great effects. I did this simply by using a long PC-sync cord from the camera to the strobe.
